The Compagnie Generale Transatlatinque was founded in 1861 and was known overseas as the "French Line".  In its present iteration, it is known as "CMA CGM S.A.," and is the third largest container company in the world.
This vintage map shows the routes the company had to the so-called New World, i.e., North America. It's a lovely map and an excellent companion piece for another map we have from the same company, printed the year before, that focused on the North African routes of the company.
This map was recently linen backed and is in very good condition.
