About this poster : This poster is a historic advertising poster for the Grand Hotel Couttet in Chamonix, facing Mont-Blanc. Founded by the mountain guide François Couttet, the hotel-pension opened its doors in 1867 and was a great success, especially between 1920 and 1935. It closed in 1946 and the buildings were then used as a preventorium until 1970. The hotel had been abandoned for several decades, but a rehabilitation project was launched to transform it into a five-star luxury hotel. The renovation work is currently underway.
The poster has small tears alongside the margins. Ready to frame !
