About The Poster:

A Limited edition poster printed on both sides, with images of sport relative to the Montreal games. Each sheet measures 16.5 x 23 inches and is bordered on the top by the official Olympic Logo of the Games, and at the bottom by a description of the sport. While we have seen, and sell other Montreal Olympic posters, we have never seen these posters - primarily because they were issued to the press and were used as displays in the venues during the Olympics.

Text on the top of each poster reads: Jeux de la XXIe Olympiade Montreal/Games of the XXI Olympiad Montreal 1976.

In the search for authenticity and using well-defined selection criteria, COJO representatives visited Olympic sites in Munich and selected twenty-one color transparencies from among some 200,000 photos. Each photo had to be suitable for enlargement and reproduction, show readily apparent motion not contrary to the rules or special techniques of the sports, and be as spectacular as possible.
