About the Poster: The Illustrated London News appeared first on Saturday 14 May 1842, as the world's first illustrated weekly news magazine. Founded by Herbert Ingram, it appeared weekly until 1971, then less frequently thereafter, and ceased publication in 2003.

This small engraving is captioned "Grand dinner in the Masonic Hall, at Montreal" ... full of well-dressed people, waiters in attendance, Masonic symbols and notable architecture. It must have been a wonderful occasion for it to have been so loving captured.

Professionally matted in an antiqued white mat, this engraving is ready to frame. A perfect gift for a Mason, a historian or any Montrealer!
