Date: 1932 Size: 32 x 47 inches Artist: E. F. (signed)
This original French poster is an advertisement for an apéritif, which is an alcoholic drink taken before a meal to stimulate the appetite.
The artist (who signed his initials 'E.F.' in the lower right hand corner of the lithographic plate) designed the ad in the Art Deco style, using bright colours and a strong graphic language to express the elegance, glamour, and modernity of the brand. After all, what says 'luxury' more than a pint-sized bellhop delivering a fresh bottle of Fred Zizi?
Perfect for a bar or restaurant, man cave, or kitchen, this poster is linen-backed and in excellent condition.
