We are constantly amazed at the variety of posters that were created in the former Soviet Union since the turn of the last century. Usually, we are about to deduce what the poster is advertising (products, mining), or advertising against (being cavalier with fire) but here, we are, we admit ... stumped.
Anyone able to shed some light on this poster would be most welcome ... I think it must be a tale of a young woman (possibly disguised as a man) who challenges a man to a duel. Must be a classic, but my familiarity with Russian fairy tales or stories of this type is, sadly, not complete.
An original poster from Russia with Cyrillic stamps and dating- perfectly retro, perfectly Soviet, and great for a child's room, or maybe a man cave.
The poster has obvious folds, but is otherwise in overall very good condition. Ready to frame.
