We are constantly amazed at the variety of posters that were created in the former Soviet Union since the turn of the last century. Here, a poster outlining the various uses for caustic soda (presumably near a mine or production facility).
What is caustic soda used for, you ask? Well, Wikipedia tells us that "Sodium hydroxide is used in many industries: in the manufacture of pulp and paper, textiles, drinking water, soaps and detergents and as a drain cleaner. Worldwide production in 2004 was approximately 60 million tons, while demand was 51 million tonnes." Drinking water and drain cleaner ... ok.
An original poster from Russia with Cyrillic stamps and dating- perfectly retro, perfectly Soviet, and great for a child's room, or maybe a man cave.
The poster has obvious folds, a few minor tears at the center top, but is otherwise in good condition. Ready to frame.
