In 1963/4 she was a stylist for a photographer in London, and then an artist for an advertising agency, before becoming a freelance designer in 1966. She was a background illustrator for animated film "Beatles Yellow Submarine" in 1967. She has established a long career in children's books. She is a member of Chelsea Arts Club.
