An oversized poster advertizing Guy Laroche's Fidji perfume from a 1991 campaign whose tagline was "La femme est une île, Fidji est son parfum" which translates to "Woman is an island; Fidji her perfume."

Fiji refers to a group of islands in the south Pacific known for its tropical marine wildlife and warm weather year-round. The perfume, first created in 1966 by Josephine Catapano (who also created the Youth-Dew scent for Estée Lauder), was inspired by the bright, sunny islands and was to become Guy Laroche's first (and incredibly popular!) scent. Fresh waves of hyacinth and lemon, floral hearts of rose and jasmine, and spicy notes of carnation are combined with the base of musk, patchouli, sandal, and vetiver.

This ad campaign featured Canadian supermodel Linda Evangelista, who coined the phrase "We don't wake up for less than $10,000 a day." Known as the longtime muse of photographer Steven Meisel, she's been featured on over 700 magazine covers and has a haircut - the Linda - named after her after her hair was cut short in 1988.
It's the same signature style that she's wearing in the Fidji campaign!
