In 2021, I worked with Stephanie Aubin, a graphic designer and teacher at Montreal's Dawson College, to create a mandate for her students: "design a band/album poster promoting a real show or tour that took place (or will take place) in Montreal. You may choose any musician as long as the venue is local. The show can be virtual show if hosted locally."
I offered to print and sell the four winning posters, and each student will receive 50% from the proceeds of each sale. The posters are available in limited quantities.
Stephanie's students created a variety of posters, each reflecting their personal approach and style. This one, by Matthew Crescenza, for the band N F, was one of the four finalists. Nathan John Feuerstein, known by his initials NF, is an American rapper, singer and songwriter. He has released two EPs, I'm Free, and a self-titled EP in 2014 with Capitol CMG. NF has released five studio albums: Moments, Mansion, Therapy Session, Perception, and The Search. NF released a mixtape: Clouds.
I asked Matthew for a bio and this is what he said: "Mathew Crescenza is a multidisciplinary illustrator based in Montreal. He conveys a strong eye for composition and storytelling. His main medium is digital but is influenced by his work in photography, woodworking and traditional art. With his bold and captivating imagery, Mathew brings wonder and metaphors to his pieces."
